# Where to get WireCat skills (/en/docs/skills)

A **skill** is an instruction file, `SKILL.md`, that teaches your AI agent the commands of one WireCat
tool. Each tool installs its own skill with `skill install` (see [Connect your AI agent](/llms.mdx/docs/agents/content.md#connect-instructions)).
This page lists the skill directories that offer the same skills, for when you prefer to install and
update skills the way your agent does. By the end, your agent has the skill it needs, from the
source you chose.

A skill only teaches. The tool itself must still be installed and logged in on the computer where
your agent runs: see [Installation](/llms.mdx/docs/installation/content.md).

## Skill names [#skill-names]

The examples use `tg` for Telegram. For another tool, replace the repository and the skill name:

- **Telegram** (`tg`): repository `WireCatLabs/tg-cli`, skill `tg-cli`
- **MAX** (`max`): repository `WireCatLabs/max-cli`, skill `max-cli`
- **WhatsApp** (`wa`): repository `WireCatLabs/whatsapp-cli`, skill `whatsapp-cli`
- **Google Drive** (`drive`): repository `WireCatLabs/drive-cli`, skill `drive-cli`
- **Zoom** (`zm`): repository `WireCatLabs/zoom-cli`, skill `zoom-cli`
- **Memo** (`memo`): repository `WireCatLabs/cli-memo`, skill `cli-memo`

## From the tool itself [#from-the-tool-itself]

This is the copy that matches the tool version you installed. It works for Codex, Claude Code,
Cursor, Gemini CLI and OpenClaw:

```sh
tg skill install
```

Run it again after you update the tool.

## Hermes Agent [#hermes-agent]

This site publishes every tool's skill, at the release these pages describe, in a skill index
that Hermes reads. Install one skill:

```sh
hermes skills install well-known:https://wirecat.dev/.well-known/skills/tg-cli
```

Hermes scans every skill before it installs one. If it stops at a caution, don't force the install:
[report it](https://github.com/WireCatLabs/cli-docs/issues) with the finding it shows. `hermes skills search https://wirecat.dev --source well-known` lists them all. Hermes keeps the
source, so `hermes skills update` refreshes the skill later.

You can also add a tool's repository as a standing skill source (a tap):

```sh
hermes skills tap add WireCatLabs/tg-cli
```

A repository source reads the repository's main branch, which can be ahead of the released tool.

## OpenClaw and ClawHub [#openclaw-and-clawhub]

**Coming soon.** ClawHub is OpenClaw's skill directory. When the WireCat skills are listed there,
one command installs a skill for every workspace:

```sh
openclaw skills install @wirecat/tg-cli --global
```

Until then, `tg skill install --for agents` gives OpenClaw the skill, because OpenClaw reads
`~/.agents/skills`. [OpenClaw skills guide](https://docs.openclaw.ai/tools/skills).

## skills.sh [#skillssh]

The `skills` command from skills.sh installs a skill from a repository into the folders of the
agents it finds on your computer:

```sh
npx skills add WireCatLabs/tg-cli --skill tg-cli
```

Keep `--skill`: some repositories also hold skills for people who work on the tool itself. Like a
Hermes repository source, it reads the main branch. [skills.sh](https://skills.sh/).

## Claude Code plugin marketplace [#claude-code-plugin-marketplace]

**Coming soon.** A WireCat marketplace for Claude Code, with one plugin per tool that holds only its
skill. When it is published, add it in Claude Code with:

```text
/plugin marketplace add WireCatLabs/claude-plugins
```

Until then, `tg skill install --for claude` installs the skill for Claude Code.
[Claude Code plugins guide](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/plugins).

## Check the result [#check-the-result]

Start a new agent session and run the check in [Connect your AI agent](/llms.mdx/docs/agents/content.md#check-connection).
If the agent has the skill but cannot run the tool, see the notes for
[Hermes](/llms.mdx/docs/agents/content.md#hermes) and [OpenClaw](/llms.mdx/docs/agents/content.md#openclaw).
